• ANY mailings to you or from your business should not have social security numbers on them unless "required for administrative purposes." This is to reduce identity theft by those who would steal from the US mail. I will still need to include your social security number on most tax related forms I mail to you.
• Name change - The Social Security Department says that if your name changes, you need to advise them! This can be done on a form SS-5. When a client lets us know of their name change, we mail them the necessary SS form. If you are an employer, the Social Security Administration asks that you do not change your payroll records until your employee furnishes you with their new social security card.
• California collects nearly 25% of the sales tax imposed nationwide. We are larger than most nations!And, California collects a great deal of their income tax from capital gains. When stock sales slow down, California income tax revenue really goes down!

• Passports and Records information from U.S. State Department. Don't leave the US without a passport!
• Pension benefit Guarantee Corp (US Govt) - Have you forgotten a pension benefit from the past?
• Locate unclaimed property in California. (Search by your name). State Controller's Office
• US Savings Bonds - Find out if they are still collecting interest.
